Australian Scholarly Editions Centre Projects (ASEC)

What this website contains

This site archives the final version of the website of the Australian Scholarly Editions Centre Projects of late 2014, after which the director Paul Eggert took up a position at Loyola University Chicago. The site is no longer a current website of the University of New South Wales Canberra, where Eggert was previously based.

The site gives the history of the Centre’s various projects during 1993–2014. Some of them are published in full or sampled here. The Academy Editions of Australian Literature series, Just In Time Markup (JITM), the Colonial Texts Series, a series of bibliographies and a variorum edition of the complete verse of John Shaw Neilson were the most notable publishing projects. An ongoing one, the Charles Harpur Critical Archive (CHCA) continues the JITM initiative.
